Dr. Michelle M.Y. Wong, MD, MSc, FRCPCC

Internist | Nephrologist

Dr. Wong is a certified nephrologist and internist who completed her training at the University of British Columbia (UBC), the University of Alberta and the Renal Research Institute.

She has a broad range of clinical interests, including: chronic disease management, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and hemodialysis. Dr. Wong also conducts international health outcomes research as an Investigator with the Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study and the Chronic Kidney Disease Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study. In addition, she lends her expertise in evidence-based medicine towards several collaborative initiatives, including systematic reviews with the Cochrane Hypertension Group and Cochrane Kidney and Transplant Group, as well as the regularly updated “Science of Salt” series.

Dr. Wong provides expertise to trainees by teaching clinical skills for UBC’s MD Undergraduate program.
