  • Clinical Assistant Professor : Preceptor for Family medicine residents on their Internal Medicine rotations and elective rotations; Preceptor and mentor to Internal Medicine fellows on their Community Medicine block. Previous recipient of CIHR grant for research on the effect of educational rounds on physician behavior and prescribing. Recipient of National Hospital Pharmacist award for student's project on patient directed app for anticoagulation for atrial fibrillation. Research interests include Phase II and III clinical studies (new drug trials) through the Fraser Health Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at Burnaby Hospital. Have served as a co-investigator for clinical trials since 2009.
  • Former Director of Undergraduate and Resident Education for the Department of Medicine (until June 2017); in this role, was responsible for scheduling, trainee orientation and evaluations.
    Taught INDE 420 (History taking and physical exam skills) to second year UBC Medical students for approximately 9 years. Preceptor for Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents on mandatory Internal Medicine blocks and Community Medicine electives.


  • General Internal Medicine and ICU: Providing comprehensive care to complex patients assessed in the ER, admitted inpatients on hospital wards and ICU. Outpatient interests include rapid-access chest pain clinic providing cardiac assessment for low risk patients, and preop assessments as part of the Optimization Clinic.
